GogolFest / Dakh Theatre Ukraine in collaboration with Gema Citra Nusantara Jakarta
Vladyslav Troitskyi, born in 1964, is a pivotal figure in Ukrainian theatre, known for his transformative impact on the cultural landscape. As a theatre producer, director, playwright, and scenographer, Vlad founded the first independent theatre and contemporary art center in Ukraine, CCA "DAKH," in 1994.
His vision didn't stop there; he also created the internationally renowned multidisciplinary festival platform, GOGOLFEST, in 2007, along with other groundbreaking projects like the world-music quartet DakhaBrakha, the intellectual freak cabaret DakhDaughters, and the innovative music formation NovaOpera.
Since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Vlad and his team have been spearheading artistic resistance activities worldwide, showcasing the originality and uniqueness of Ukrainian art while challenging the myth of Russian cultural supremacy.
CCA "DAKH" and GOGOLFEST are not only cultural pillars in Ukraine but also influential participants in the European Theater Convention, contributing to the dynamic relationships in the European art scene.

ERROR delves into global and personal mistakes, exploring events that cause irreversible changes. It blends elements of traditional culture with technological advancements, combining live filming, animation, computer processing, and artificial intelligence with acting, music, and singing from both countries.
The piece is staged at a specific outdoor site, enabling the play of elements like water, wind, and fire. The performance aims to reconnect humanity with nature, offering a profound emotional and physical experience.
Ultimately, this multi-media performance believes in finding shared values across nations. While ERROR confronts humanity’s current concerns, it also looks to the future and presents resistance through art – exploring universal meanings that transcend geographical boundaries.
