ABOUT US
DITP24
The Djakarta International Theatre Platform (DITP) is an innovative artistic laboratory that bridges societal phenomena with progressive artistic trends. It challenges conventional ideas by continually generating new values, redesigning spatial relationships, and crossing uncharted boundaries in gender, discipline, and competence. Envisioned as a Culture Hub, DITP aims to create a spectrum of possibilities through diverse art creations, experiences, and ideas, expanding the practice of performing arts and fostering a space of liminality.
DITP's mission includes accommodating novelty and innovation in artistic practices, building robust production and artistic networks, fostering critical discourse in Indonesian performing arts, and developing a thriving audience ecosystem. The platform engages a wide range of stakeholders, from artists and cultural experts to policymakers, media professionals, and the general public. By involving diverse perspectives and sectors, DITP aims to reflect the broader public’s needs and views, support creative industries, and enhance public awareness and engagement with arts and culture in Jakarta.
DITP imagines a platform for theater artists from all over the world — to connect, to collaborate, to create. This year’s DITP has 3 categories of programs, across 5 groups and 3 countries.
MAIN PROGRAM
Our Main Program presents a collection of performances that explore and express the Post-Human experience and ideas. Featuring talented performers from Japan, Ukraine, Jakarta, and Bandung, this category delves into the complexities and wonders of our evolving existence.
PAIr
The Performing Arts Incubation Trajectory (PAIr) 2024 is a capacity-building program that pairs artistic work with production skills. PAIr traverses the flagship programs of the Jakarta Arts Council's Performing Arts Committee, including Theater, Music, and Dance, in collaboration with the Indonesian Performing Arts Producers Network.
Joint program
The Joint Program is a collaborative initiative that involves groups of artists with agendas beyond DITP24. This program fosters creative partnerships and extends the reach of our artistic community.
